About AfroTech Horizon

AfroTech Horizon is a digital publication dedicated to technology, innovation, and the startup ecosystem across Africa. We launched because we believe the continent's tech story is being told badly — either ignored by global media or covered with a mix of condescension and surprise that has nothing to do with the reality on the ground.

We cover the full picture: the companies raising millions and the ones that folded last quarter. The policy wins and the regulatory missteps. The developers building quietly and the founders making noise. We are interested in what is actually happening, not in what sounds good in a press release.

What we cover

AfroTech Horizon reports on startups, funding, infrastructure, technology policy, artificial intelligence, developer communities, and the people building Africa's digital economy. Our coverage spans the continent, with particular depth in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Cameroon, Ghana, Rwanda, Senegal and Egypt.

Who we are for

We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. We distinguish clearly between news reporting, analysis, and sponsored content. We correct errors promptly and transparently. Our editorial decisions are not for sale.
